Samsung Electronics Philippines unveiled its latest Galaxy foldables and wearables during the Samsung Galaxy Media Preview, highlighting innovations designed to support healthier lifestyles, seamless productivity, and everyday entertainment through an increasingly connected ecosystem.
The event featured presentations by Jun Guevarra, Head of Corporate Marketing of Samsung Philippines, Matt Alcanzaren, Head of Mobile Sellout Platforms & Ecosystem, and Sam Streeter, Product Marketing Manager for Flagship. Together, they demonstrated how Samsung’s latest Galaxy devices work seamlessly across productivity, wellness, and content creation.
Leading the wearable lineup are the Galaxy Watch Ultra2 and Galaxy Watch9, powered by the new Snapdragon® Wear Elite platform, which delivers up to 32% faster CPU performance and 19% faster GPU performance for smoother app navigation and faster responsiveness. Samsung also highlighted improvements in health tracking that make monitoring more accurate and intuitive.
The new watches introduce Samsung’s Vitals feature, which establishes a user’s personal baseline after four nights of sleep tracking. It continuously monitors key health metrics, including heart rate, heart rate variability (HRV), skin temperature, respiratory rate, and blood oxygen levels. The system then provides proactive alerts whenever significant changes are detected. For active users, the smartwatch can also estimate sweat loss after workouts, offering personalized insights to support hydration and recovery.
Samsung also introduced its newest foldable smartphones: the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold8, and Galaxy Z Flip8.
Designed for multitasking and immersive content consumption, the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra features a 7.4-inch inner display with a 4:3 landscape aspect ratio for viewing videos and running multiple apps simultaneously, while its 3:4 portrait layout offers a tablet-like experience for reading documents, articles, and e-books. The 10:16 cover display provides convenient access to messages, emails, and everyday tasks without unfolding the device.
For creators and mobile photographers, Samsung equipped the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra with a professional-grade camera system featuring a 200MP main camera, a 50MP ultra-wide camera, and a 10MP telephoto camera. Combined with Samsung’s ProVisual Engine, the foldable leverages advanced AI processing to deliver flagship-quality photos and videos while supporting flexible 8K video shooting and editing directly on the device.
The new foldables will be available in several color options. The Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra comes in Violet Shadow, Cream, Graphite, and Green Shadow (Online Exclusive), while the Galaxy Z Fold8 is offered in Lavender, Cream, Graphite, and Pistachio (Online Exclusive). Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Flip8 is available in Pink, Cream, Graphite, and Mint.
